suggested itinerary that covers Kanyakumari Bhagavathi Amman Temple, Uvari
Suyambulinga Swamy Temple, Kulasi Mutharamman Temple, and Thiruchendur

1. Start Early in the Morning:
Kanyakumari Bhagavathi Amman Temple
● Location: Kanyakumari
● Opening Time: 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
● This temple is dedicated to the Goddess Bhagavathi (Parvati) and is one of
the oldest in the region. It is located near the southern tip of India where the
three seas meet.

Uvari Suyambulinga Swamy Temple

● This temple is dedicated to Lord Suyambulinga Swamy, a self-manifested
Shiva Lingam, located near the coastal village of Uvari. The temple offers a

3. Drive to Kulasi (Approx. 30 minutes)
Kulasi Mutharamman Temple
● Location: Kulasi Village, near Kanyakumari
● Opening Time: 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
● The temple is dedicated to Goddess Mutharamman, who is believed to be a
powerful form of the divine feminine. It's a small but significant temple for
local worshippers.
4. Drive to Thiruchendur (Approx. 1.5 hours)
Thiruchendur Murugan Temple
● Location: Thiruchendur, Tamil Nadu
● Opening Time: 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
● This is one of the six abodes of Lord Murugan and one of the most
prominent temples in Tamil Nadu. It is located on the shores of the Bay of
Bengal, providing a beautiful backdrop of the ocean.
● Highlights: The temple's grandeur, the peaceful surroundings, and the
significance of being one of Lord Murugan's main temples.
Return Journey
● After visiting the Thiruchendur Murugan Temple, you can head back to your
starting point, depending on where you are based.

● Transport: Renting a car or booking a cab for the day would be ideal, as
these temples are spread across a considerable distance.
● Dress Code: Traditional and respectful attire is recommended when visiting
temples (long skirts or trousers for women, dhoti or pants for men).

these temples are spread out and you’ll need ample time to visit each one.
